GUNADARMA UNIVERSITY

I’m  a student of Gunadarma University. Gunadarma university is private universities located in Bekasi. There are many faculties, including: Faculty of Economic, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Literature, Computer Faculty, ect. Each faculty is in the same building. I’m a student of Economic Faculty at eight semesters. I have been a student since 2010 at Gunadarma University. I chose Gunadarma because it is located close to my home. But gunadarma also located in Depok, they have so many campus in Bekasi and Depok, and have so many student at each campus. In Bekasi their have five campus, exactly at Kalimalang, Kemang Pratama, Cakung and Kalimas. Kalimalang is the closest place to my house, others are quite far. 

Gunadarma stood since 1981 on 7 August. Gunadarma University was originally named the Computer Science Education Program (PPIK) which accommodates 91 students. And on Monday, August 10, 1981, the first lecture begins. Even this growing college that requires a more robust container. Care through the Foundation for the Development and Operations Research Systems Analysis Mathematics (Mathematics Saor), it turned into a place of education and the Academy of Science of Computer Indonesia (ASKI). After 4 years later, changed the official name of the new PPIK be a School of Information Management & Computer Gunadarma (STMIK Gunadarma). At the same time, turns into STMIK Gunadarma STKG in more detail, it is registered in the state, can take care of two level Gunadarma the Study of Higher Education Education degree (S1) and the Study of Higher Education Tier Zero (S0) in the form of Diploma (D3). On the 13th of January 1990, STMIK Gunadarma now changed the official name of the new become the School of Economics Gunadarma (STIE Gunadarma). 16 - years later, which transformed as the Certificate of Higher Education Ministry of the Republic of Indonesia Number. 92/KEP/SK DEPDIKTIRI/1996 issued by the Ministry of Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia ) is the time to transform & stie PPIK or STMIK Gunadarma now officially renamed recently become Gunadarma University. Since it has a 7 - Gunadarma new faculties, namely the Faculty of Industrial Technology (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering & Computer Science), Faculty of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Information Technology Doctor, Doctor Faculty of Economic Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Planning, Faculty of Psychology and the Faculty of Letters.

Gunadarma was graduated many students every year. They graduated about 40,000 students each year from various faculties. It is a very tough competition to continue to work. Only in Gunadarma we have had many competitors, not including the other universities that also the toughest competitor. So, as student, we must have the ability to compete. Because Gunadarma got A for accredited, so we have more value. Although private universities but Gunadarma been known for many companies. And Gunadarma famous for the best computer-based university. Awards that have been earned by the university Gunadarma them included in the 10’s best universities in Indonesia. And Gunadarma has labeled the world class university. 

     Although it has been well known, but we were not satisfied with the facilities and infrastructures are given. Lack of parking space make the students had to park outside the campus. As well as the facility is not big enough, which does not adjust the number of students. But Gunadarma has a strategic location, close to some famous mall in bekasi and also has easy access. Other than that, Gunadarma also be in the center of town bekasi which makes it easy to anywhere. Students were not only coming from bekasi, but also come from Jakarta and other cities. Which makes Gunadarma favored because the pay is low when compared with universities in Jakarta and many graduated student who work in large companies. As well as my brothers who graduated Gunadarma successful career in the company has been great. He also had to make a small company with his friend, but the company has now closed. Success is not determined by where our school, but how do we develop ourselves of every opportunity.
